Electricity Rate Reduction Goals

Let’s make a long term plan for reducing the cost of electricity. Every conversation should ask if this will help the electricity be affordable.

Transparency & Communication

Have open communication to the board and the member owners. The Board at GVEA need to think outside the box and find ways to communicate better whether through social media, bill inserts or more.

Common Sense energy goals.

We need reliable energy for Fairbanks. We cannot shut down one energy supply when there is not another energy supply ready and running to replace it. We need timelines that match. We need renewables that are proven for our climate.

With rising property taxes, fuel, and electric prices; we are between a rock and a hard place.

We need Fairbanks residents to be able to afford to live here. Every conversation at the GVEA Board should include the words, “Affordable” and “Reliable”. We need to care about the needs of our community.

The incumbent has been in office 9 years. It is time for a change.
